Stopping a Sim

I was very excited to see that you could now hit ESC to stop an extended sim. Only one problem though:

I hit ESC REPEATEDLY on January 5th. It is now February 10th and the sim continues.

SIm finally stopped on February 20th!!!!

ive had the same prob...game is really slow to respond to the stop auto-play button as well. took about 2 weeks when game was an autoplay for it to register the stop button click and actually stop.
