Run-Time Error When Restoring League!

In OOTP4, I get a "Run-Time Error, Abnormal Program Termination" error when I try to restore a league from
backup. The error message appears after a "Restore Successful" message!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling OOTP4 itself, using the default directory, and when that didn't work, I chose a different directory. Same results. I've tried using the restore option in the game, I've tried copying the files using Windows Explorer, and no luck.

I am trying to restore a file that I backed up successfully from a different PC, however. I had to remove OOTP4 from one PC and put it on my current one. Could it be a matter of PC name, different OS, something like that?

I'd hate to see all my work go to waste, so I'll listen to ANY ideas! Thanks for your time!

So was this backup file on a CD? If so the problem is that all of the files are "read only" under properties, select all the files and change the properties to archive and it should work. If I am understanding you correctly.
