BUG - Double Player History
After crashes of the game, the Player History is messed up. Basically it appears that after a crash although the game reverts to the last save, the player history is being wrote to and that creates alternative histories for the crashed game and the continued game.
Screen shot included.

Is this still an issue? More feedback needed.

The following screenshot will show you a player who was apparently inaugural-drafted three times, by three different teams. All I did was: create game -> go through inaugural draft -> crash game via task manager -> restart OOTP and reload game (we're back on Jan 1st) -> go through inaugural draft again -> lather, rinse, repeat Short of keeping all player history changes in a memory buffer until the game is actually saved, I see no way to prevent this from happening. |

Maybe build in a revert players history from crash option? That would remove all each players history (from their cards) of anything for the specific year that is currently being worked on? Not sure how possible that would be to do, but it's a suggestion.

I have seen the same issue, but I really dont think its avoidable given the current way the game creates player histories.

It can be avoided by re-implementing the way 6.5 and earlier did auto-save. That way it is almost certainly to get have a save at or close to the crash point. The way the game works now you can sim for months or even years and not have a save so thus you can crash and have to replay those months, which results in much doubling in the player history.

I'm sorry for the awfully slow response to this thread.
![]() Obviously, some time has passed since you posted this issue, and the 1.0.2 patch has since been released as well. Are you still seeing this issue? I have not been able to reproduce it so far. Please let me know! Thanks, Steve |

Not sure about the nature of the fix, but Markus claimed this will be fixed in the next patch. Haven't had an opportunity to verify it yet, though.
Thanks! Steve |
