Let's say I want to start a historical sim beginning in 1970 up to 2005. Can someone supply detailed info on how to do this in OOTP 2006? Will it bring the correct rookies in year - by - year???

Thank you. Your DB has been excellent throughout several versions. I will set up a league today.

Does it crash if you do this league with the Lahman database. If not then I would expect it to be an issue with DB.

Mine crashes using the game-created database the day before opening day on my second year (AAA team manager) every time.

I don't think it's a database problem as much as it is a game needs patched problem.

Haven't tried it. I'll try to remember to do that later tonight when I get a chance.

Not sure why you think this is a DB issue, ours or any other DB. If the DB crashes during import, then it is usually a DB issue. Or moving to the next season, when it imports rookies. If you have set up a league and just basically moving the calendar to opening day (no games are even played yet), then it has to be a game issue. Your game didn't crash when you didn't resign using the DB, so my guess it is related to that.

I have no idea if it'd be a DB issue or not, so I figured I'd throw it out there and just look for help.

It's also crashed twice going from 1903 to 1904 and I have no idea why. Argh.

This isn't an opening day 2006 roster set. It's a database. That means that things will be as they were at the end of the 2005 season, since it is based on the most recent Lahman database, which updates at the end of each year. Update it yourself.

That's what I thought, but that other guy confused me.

One of the biggest flaws of OOTP 2006 is that it fills the minors with fictional players for historical leagues, however I know that in general this database provides a MUCH higher number of initial players than the Lahman database so does that help avoid the need for fictional players in the minors?
