Minor league lineups change even with full control
My minor league depth charts and lineups change even though in the settings I have full control over everything.
In this example I wanted a stud prospect to play LF. It should be noted that he has a very poor rating at the position but that is the whole reason I want him to gain experience at it. Anyway I set the depth chart, and autogen a lineup. Perfect, I don't really care about the batting order. Magically 3 days later, the lineup and depth chart change and he's playing SS. I try another example where I just change the order of the lineup (no out of position playing). Stud prospect leads off according to the autogen lineup, I move him to second in the order. Wala a few days later, he's leadoff again. Seems to only affect the minors, the majors seem to store my position changes/lineup changes fine. |

I have also observed this problem, and it is preventing me from teaching new positions to players in the minors, which is certainly an issue. In fact, the problem is worse than doohdee believes. I can, for instance, change the position of a player in my lineup and it will display as the new position until the game hits Monday again, then it will revert. However, the player never plays a single game at the position that I've told him to play, even while the screen displays the new position.
I have commissioner mode turned off and minor league team management set to me. I did, however, hire a manager for that affilliate when first starting the game when there originally was none appointed. |

it also appears that this problem occurs when the big league GM promotes or demotes players. i also prefer the bench manager to autogen my depth chart and i make the lineup, however everytime new players are added or removed from my roster (due to promotions or demotions) the lineups change to the computer AI's preference. Since these roster changes occurs as often as every 3-4 days, this makes for a discouraging situation. Especially when changing depth charts and lineups for all four possible options. Programmers PLEASE HELP!!

Has this issue been looked at/marked by the testers for review? Just want to make sure that it isn't passed by.

Alos having the problem
Yeah I experienced this one too. Its very frustrating. Unless they fix this the game really isnt worth it to me because the best part of the game is drafting a player and seeing them make it to the pros based on how you have treated them.

You have to keep an eye on your team's transactions. It sucks, but it's true. I bookmark the Transactions Log so I can easily check it out and adjust my depth charts accordingly.
The reason this all happens is so you can go straight to a game without getting some kind of error heading into the lineups about not having enough guys on the squad. It's SUPPOSED to make you life a bit easier, but it can be a shock. My advise is, when you see new players on your roster, do a quick check of your depth charts (and make sure you are looking at the right ones - most AA teams for example have a DH, so changing the vs. RHP depth chart will do you no good, you need to adjust the vs. RHP + DH chart). Then, you need to reset your lineup, because the changes made to the depth chart are NOT automatically registered there. |

As a major league GM, I still can't get my minor league team to follow my depth chart and lineup instructions even for one day. Something in the fixes log mentions minor league roster management, so maybe this was dealt with already?

Having this problem too. Computer GM makes roster moves, which I have no knowledge of because of the auto-sim, until after the fact. By that time the lineups/depth charts/rotations have all been modified (as you said - supposedly to make it easier when entering a game). Any change in this behavior/routine would be welcome. Simming one day at a time doesn't seem like a viable option.
