Game locked up by computer control of transactions

This was a bizzare one. Game ran smoothly to the June Draft. After that I thought I would have a look at all my minor league teams. I found I had about 70 players in the rookie team and large numbers in the A ball leagues. I had turned transactions off so I was controlling the teams.

I started with the rookie team and worked my way up throught the other teams, cutting the numbers down to 15-20 players who had some upside potential in their ratings. So far so good. I thought it would then be a good idea to turn the computer transaction manager back on and see what it did to the teams. BAD IDEA!

The computer promoted all ny rookie and A players back up in the higher leagues to get the numbers up again I guess. My low A team, A short and Rookie leagues were reduced to zero. Then I got an error message that my minor league teams had an illegal value (zero). The Continue button would not work. The error kept coming up. I tried to sign a few rookies to put in the teams but the reply feature meant that I couldn;t do that either.

I'm now going to go back and turn the transaction computer off an force a few players down to A and lower and see if I can get it to work that way.

It gets better.

The computer appears to have released every minor league player I had so now I have no players that I can force anywhere to get the game moving again. I guess I can try demoting someone from the 25 man roster and see if that works.

Now the minor league teams have turned into the Bermuda Triangle. I have demoted players to all the minor league teams but only a single player shows up in one minor league team. I've demoted 4 players to the AAA team, they have disappeared off my MLB roster but they don't show up anywhere. The transactions are included in my transaction report but no players are anywhere.

I've done good!

OK

I've now found my missing minor leaguers. (Used the manager player search facility). There are some 200 players in the A team that the computer is telling me has an illegal number (zero). I don't know how they all finished up there, that isn't what the transaction says happened.

I'll now see if I can send them back to the other teams and see if that gets it going again.

It now appears that i've got 200 plus players in each of of minor league teams. The Minor league screen off the team transaction page show zero and the game won't advance because it is saying there are zero players in one of the teams.

I think its dead.
