Amusing PBP Call

I actually found this more amusing than irritating...but thought you might want to know.

In my first game, my opponent batting in the bottom of the 7th inning. Leadoff hitter, 8th in the order, homers on the second pitch (BLESS YOU for the pitch by pitch feature, btw). Next batter, number 9, grounds out to second. Next batter (the leadoff man) hits the first pitch out to center. I figure Harry Doyle must be announcing when he screams "THEY GO BACK TO BACK!".

One too many Jack 'n' Cokes I think.

Not too sure, but I don't think the 8 and 1 hitters can hit back to back homers, unless someone batted out of turn.

So far the game is awesome...can't wait for the weekend so I can spend some "quality time" with it. I think my dog and wife are jealous...too bad.

I am nowhere near being a baseball nerd, but would it count as back to back if the guy in 9th was HBP?

Most definitely not. Back to back homers are just that - two homers hit by two consecutive hitters in the order.

This just happened to me too with my 2 and 4 hitters. Pretty funny to see it.

Also in the same game I just saw my rightfielder cover 1st base on a ground ball in the infield... odd to say the least.

Sorry for a double post so close to my last one but right after I posted it I started a new game and on the first three batters this came up again... 1st hitter HR, 2nd hitter ground out, 3rd HR... back-to-back homerun. So this might happen every time two homeruns happen that are seperated by an out. It's not really that big a deal, just odd to see.
