How to do the Player Pictures

After messing around a bit I figured out how to do the player photos by renaming them to the players fictional name but can someone tell me how to rename the ones with special characters like the Spanish N tilde? Never was an issue before because I just simply used the old P and the player's number naming convention. Any help appreciated

player IDs - Markus just threw us a nasty slider down and away...

The format has changed from p###.jpg to player_###.jpg. There's a thread here in tech support with some other player name details....

You can use Irfanview to quick convert the naming convention... unfortunately, I think we're waiting on more details for some other specifics (i.e., best number range to ensure pics assigned to major leaguers before minor league filler...)

Where do I find the player numbers? I'm not sure if I will be using the name format or the numbers but it is a moot point if I can't find them.
