Lahman Database

Um, I feel like an idiot for asking this, but does anyone know how to import the Lahman database on OOTP2006?? I've got lahman53_csv, is this compatible? Tell me I'm not an idiot! <sob> I simply want to start a sim during the 1915 season, that's all. <whine> Thanks, all.

Unzip everything into a directory of your choice. Mine is Lahman under the OOTP 2006 directory. Then when you set up your league, select add historical league, then browse to where you saved all the files from lahman53_csv.

Ah! You're a freakin' beast! Thanks so much. I was trying to import the database after I had already started a league thinking it would impose itself over the current season. What a n00b! Thanks again!

I unzipped it to lahman folder i made in ootp2006. But when i click the folder to confirm it and use it, i get no option to confirm only cancel.

You have to select the master.csv file. Then you'll get the confirm option.

And let me add to cut off a potential worry/question...when you import and go to an instant fantasy draft of all players none of the teams will have fan loyalty, money or any other of the internal features. Those will generate at the end of the fantasy draft.

Asked this in the other Lahman thread already but...

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but I cant get 2005 stats to show up. When I am importing the historical league, if I select anything past 2005 as the year, I get an error saying "the historical leage import has failed!" (I'm assuming this is because the league only goes up to 2005). So, I made it 2005 and then set the league start date to 2006 (since all 2005 stats should be in there). When I start the league it is 2006, but there are no stats for 2005.

Help?

does this usually take a long time to import? I sat at my computer for 15 minutes and i reached 1% done on importing players.

On the Import dialog, below 'Enter Season Year' is a checkbox for 'Keep this seasons stats', or similar. Tick this. When it's finished the import, before you click 'Start Game', check the Season Start Date is 2006.

No; took about a minute for mine; decent PC, but 15 minutes for 1% doesn't sound right.

what am i doing wrong? I unzipped the database, then i clicked add fictional league then i submitted the master.cvs file and then i await my rosters (which hasent happened yet)
