Server Based League play like EHM and FM?

I know it is going to have the traditional FTP style of league play, but is it going to have the server based league play that FM and EHM have?

I would love to have 4 or 5 friends hook up and play online like EHM and FM. Well here is to hoping!

If you're referring to online H2H, run and hide now.

Do yourself a favor...

Take Fidel's advise.

Run. Run away. Do NOT look back.

dola,

However, he does bring up a point (in a manner not previously addressed). If FM and EHM can do it, doesn't it seem feasible that this could be closer on the horizon than it has before? Not for this version, of course, and not in the first patch. But it seems more realistic that this could be implemented in the future than it has before. there DOES seem to be a (possibly) compatible system in place that can be emulated.

Maybe in the next version or the one after that, Markus will, out of nowhere, surprise us all. That would be Markus' call. For now, I'd wait til we get a forum open named "suggested features for OOTPBB 2007" only because this topic has been beaten to death for so long and doesn't need another life.

Do I think it would be a great feature? Yes. Do I thnk old wounds should be reopened? No. For now, let's all enjoy the new version and all that it has to offer, emerse ouselves in our universes and be happy...at least for now.

I don't mean head to head. Well maybe I do. I'm more referring to everyone hooking up to a server at the same time and taking your turns without ftping files. You hit continue and when everyone hits continue games would be simmed. If someone plays their game out others can look around the league.

What I mean is multiplayer like EHM and FM. If any of you have tried that before. If this is a sore subject I'm sorry.

I just wanted to know if it is going to be in this version.

If not I can wait.
