Marc Duffy - Website/Testing

how comes the main SION page has changed to an ugly big font? It looked poi-fect before but now it looks like a cheap tripod website (unless my firefox is playing up?)

I think others had complained about the small font from before (hence the change)

Clicking on the team name links on the scoreboard takes you to a totally different team

You sure? You might be caching the old reports

Tried it and it seemed to work here

In previous versions of OOTP, on the Players page - Game Log, Last 10 Games, the Result column - the individual results were linked to the box score for the related game.

Any chance these links can be added in again?

Tks

I'm not if sure this has been asked before but would it be possible to alternate the colors of the rows for "Today's Games" to make them more distinguishable?

http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/..._100_home.html

This goes for all the leagues not just the major one.

In the majors I couldn't find a single instance of the relievers-as-three-innings-starters issue. Thumbs up!

And this is a mean career-ending injury...the team's manager probably commited suicide:

(no bug here, though )

They already are in alternate colours. Albeit that the colours are very similar.

Since I didn't see a "Post your descrepencies here" thread for this group:

Ramiro Dimartinez is listed as having 15 years of pro service at age 27. Yet he was drafted in 2009 and retired in 2016. It doesn't add up. Plus, I would hate to see 12 year olds pitching in the minor leagues, unless little league is included!

Seems to be a common problem:

hey, was browsing through the updated reports and i found something the got my attention. Frank Parkinson of the Pheonix Terriers. was born in 1991 but but report shows that he has 21 year of pro service underneath is belt. Guess they saw his baseball talent at T-ball just a small detail but thought i would point it out

Slight bug: the phrase "career-ending in jury" has an odd space in the final word, as if to suggest that the player changed vocations from baseball player to bailiff...?

A couple of random notes while looking at one rookie league team's roster (the Anchorage Sky Chiefs).

(1) The team used 37 catchers in one year on a 121 man roster.

(2) Average age was 23. In ML short season rookie ball -- e.g., the Gulf Coast League -- the average age is much closer to 20. The average was thrown off by 46 players who were 24+ on the team --out of 121 players. I'm not sure what settings you are using for this test league, or if these are changable - but if the goal was to mimic the GCL, the roster limit should be 35 players and no player over 20 years old can have played in the minors for 2+ years, other than the DSL or VSL or some other non-US based rookie league. I'm assuming this is a setting issue. Regardless of settings, the AI probably shouldn't have almost 1/3 of the roster made up of catchers.

(3) The distribution of lefties/righties/switches and hights/weights per position looks about right. There were a couple of tall catchers to add variation, but not a significant amount to make it appear unrealistic, etc.

(4) In the news section, many of the news items were doubled. E.g., when a player was named to the AS game, there are two entries -- one noting that a player was "honored", the other that the player was named to the AS game.

(5) The team sent two catchers to the AS game. This makes sense given that they had 37 of them , but one of them (Pepi Mascarneas) had no more than 8 GS by the AS game.

(6) I didin't see the AS game in the list of scores for that day?

(7) A few too many players see too many leagues in one season. So, for example, Angel Samdovalplayed in rookie league, single A, and double A. Players who are in rookie level ball are generally not organizational players who fill positions upwards on the chain. Sometimes a player in short-season A ball (a level like the New York-Penn league) will be an organizational fill-in, but rarely someone from rookie league. That, too, could be just a setting issue. Or just me being nitpicky.

I think the huge rookie league rosters are just a product of a too large draft -- it seems to be the only league with no roster limit. Easily fixable when setting up a new league.

37 catchers does look a bit strange though.

In that listing of the injury, its spelled 'in jury'.

Starting Pitchers are still playing other postions on the field.

http://reports.ootpbaseball2006.com/...ayer_5566.html

This pitcher in 2016 played 26 games as a pitcher, 3 as SS and 3 in the OF.

Seems a little strange. There should be some very rare times when this happens. Maybe a really long game, injuries or something, but almost every pitcher in the league is doing this.
