this is just great.. (bonds related)

so america's favorite slugger, barry bonds sits one homer away from tying the great babe "whitey" ruth. and who do the giants have a 3 game series with this weekend, the beloved dodgers.

this is just great.. i personally cannot wait to see the "big head" launch probably three homers this weekend. why? why does it have to be this weekend against the dodgers???.....

cheers

I truly, sincerely hope that Bonds gets IBB every single at bat he has.

The rest of his career.

I really do.

I was hoping he'd blow his knee out before he did it, but I guess your way is less malicious.

714 is inevitable. 755 isn't. One can only hope.

I don't like Bonds at all, but he should not be the poster child of the "Steroid Era". I don't see Giambi getting all of this negativity attention anymore. I'm sure there were 100's of players on the juice, don't blame him for everything. Without Steroid he was still the best player in the game.

Aaron's record would last for 32 years or so.

Bond's record would last for maybe 7 years. (A-Rod).

A-Rod's record would last 5 or so. (Pujols).

Heh heh...I will re-visit this thread in.....2020 or so.

With steroids you get really big really quick. See in this picture his head is normal size.

I'm not sure when this picture was taken, but it had to be taken post 93. Bonds doesn't look all that big. He won the MVP in 93 with a .336 average, 46 homers and a 1.136 OPS.

that easily could have been the beginning of the 'roids for him too. his arms already look much much bigger than in Pitsburgh

Bonds is an ass, but most of the vitriol and hatred aimed at him would be better served going another direction. Bonds, assuming (as seems extremely likely at this point) that he was/is a roid-beast, is the twisted child of a greedy, twisted, mother. Mama Loved Bonds and as long as he was good for business, it didn't matter what he did.

Maybe he was working out without roids?? If he was on Roids his whole body would look bigger, not just his arms.

Don't get that far ahead. What were you saying about Ken Griffey Jr. 8 years ago?

LOL. I think Bonds is an ass and if he somehow makes it to the point where he's challenging Aaron it will be a sad day for baseball, but you really have no clue how good he actually was before the roids.
