Help for UK league logos

Can anybody help me with some logos for an UK league? It doesn’t matter what style they are, I’ll be grateful for anything. I’ve tried to put a few notes in with the team names as you might not be familiar with the English way of thinking!!

Glasgow Catholics (Irish theme)
Fife Shipbuilders
Cumbria Nuclearmen (Cumbria is famous for Sellafield Nuclear plant)
Liverpool Ferrymen (ferry cross the Mersey River)
Manchester Beat (Manchester has been famous for it’s music scene)
Sheffield Steel (famous for it’s steel works)
York Minstermen (York Minster is a big Cathedral)
West Midland Carworkers (area like Detroit, famous for Car Plants)
Cardiff Dragons
Swansea Welshmen (Rugby theme, google for ‘rugby cartoons’ produces some good images)
Oxford Academics (famous for Universities)
Bristol Bridges (famous suspension bridge)
Bath Romans (famous for Roman buildings and baths)
Dover Cliffs (white cliffs of Dover)
London Parliamentarians (Houses of Parliament)
Gatwick Flyers (Gatwick Airport)
Brighton Seagulls
Plymouth Pilgrims (the Pilgrim fathers)
Kent Hopgrowers
Ryde Islanders (the isle of Wright)
London Royalists
North Sea Fishermen
Belfast Bombers (something blowing up?)
Dublin leprechauns

Please feel free to tweak my ideas if you’ve a better one or ask if you don’t understand one

Just a bump for this as it was sliding down the board a bit. No hurry as its for OOTPB2006, I can see everyones very busy at the moment.

One last request though - as it's for OOTPB2006, can the logos be circular as the latest blog seems to suggest thats how it will handle logos

Your location is given as "Leeds, West Yorkshire" but, though you include York & Sheffield in your list of teams, Leeds appears to be missing. "Say it ain't so, MaverickTango..."

Great logos Red, style 1 I think I like the best - the ones without the words look really striking but I just seem to like them with the team name on.

A couple more for you to tackle if you would be so kind

Leeds Rhinos

and three league logos

The Baseball League of England
Scottish Baseball League
All-Ireland Baseball League
(perhaps incoporating the country's flags?)

The rhinos logo is great, the league one perhaps without the writing ( it is a bit of a mouthful !) and a central embossed figure (something like the brighton 2 logo, perhaps the same for the other leagues?)

No problem. I wondered about the league logo too, as its too wordy; and with the new game splashing your league name all over the place, text isn't really necessary anyway.
