Player Retirements
I've only played OOTPBB through version 5, and I'm wondering if player retirement has already been approved or will be improved with the 2006 version. In the past, there didn't seem to be enough variation in retirement ages for players. Rarely would anyone see a player active into his early to mid-40's like we've seen with the likes of Paul Molitor, Charlie Hough, Nolan Ryan, Dennis Eckersley, Kent Tekulve, and others.

The problem in 6.0/6.5, as I've observed, is not so much a problem with variation in ages per se as a problem in the way OOTP handles declining skills. A 4-star player can turn into a 1-star player very rapidly near or at 40 yrs...which, I presume, triggers the retirement thing.
If Markus has improved the aging code, you may see more of this. --chris |

It'd be nice to see sliders for both newbs and statesmen that work independent of one another.
