Join the Met Leagues!
The Metropolitan Baseball League System (MBLS) - currently celebrating its 10th straight year as an Internet sim league - currently seeks a few good owners.
Among the things we offer: * Play out your own games (if you want) * Head-to-head play (if you want) * Offseason leagues and tournaments * Sports prediction contests We're currently using OOTP 6.12 -- but plan on converting the league and expanding it to add international teams shortly after the release of OOTP 2006. If you're interested, check us out at metleagues.com. Last edited by onarasec; 04-27-2006 at 12:20 PM. |

If you're looking for a truly unique league that's been up and running continuously since 1993, check us out. There's still plenty of talented teams to choose from, and still time to enter the first two MLB prediction contests of the season. |

Every game is a main course
This is a league that any good owner really ought to try.
If you've got room for one more league on your plate, metleagues.com is the perfect fit. It moves along like the regular season, allowing you to make the daily moves that any general manager can make. True, you can get three or four seasons done in the time it will take this league to finish the regular season, but next May, when your league is in 2010 and you're trying to figure out what to do with an aging ARod, we'll still have him slugging away in his prime. There is plenty of activity on the side to keep you going. It's baseball the way it was meant to be played: One game at a time. That's much better than making changes for a week's worth of games and finding out all your plans were shot because your star player was injured in the first game of the sim. So give it a shot. You'll like Joe and the rest of the guys. And if you really enjoy baseball like the main course it deserves to be, then they'll like you, too. Hurry and get in on the fun while the league races are still just forming!

Anybody out there??!?!?It's mid-May and the MBLS is still looking for a few great owners! We're the longest running sim league that you'll find around these parts (check out our history), and offer a whole lot of cool interactive features to get you more directly involved in the game.... Five teams - Cincinnati, Phoenix, Baltimore, Boston and San Diego - are available. League officers will offer substantial financial relief to any owner taking over a team in serious financial trouble. So what exactly are you waiting for? Join the MBLS today!

Wow, what a blast from the past. I used to be a part of the league when they used to use Diamond Mind. I used to own the LA Stars during their dominant years with McGwire, Gonzalez, Chipper, and John Smoltz. Never won the big one, and had to leave when I left for grad school, but it's a fun league and good ownership (I went to school with the owner of the Queens Kings). If you guys have a chance to get in on this league, I say do it... I would join, but I'm gonna wait until the new version comes out and join OOTP2006 leagues.

Great to hear from you! Our plans are to convert the league at some point to OOTP 2006, so you certainly would be welcome back....
Update: Phoenix now taken. Four teams - Cincinnati, Baltimore, Boston and San Diego - still available. Join us today!

Hey Joe. I don't own OOTP yet, and don't know what my schedule will be, so I'll have to respectfully decline at the moment. Good luck to you!

I'm glad to see my Troy Haymakers moved to San Diego. That rebuilding job I started is paying off - they aren't in the cellar (well, right now any way).
![]() Excellent league with a committed management committee.
