Will we still have this option?

Will we still have the option not to get fired from a team? For example, if I want to be both GM & manager of the Dodgers can I have the option to not be fired? I want to run my team through it's entirety like we were able to in OOTP6, ect. Also, will OOTPBBM2006 have the option to have the AI managers & GMs to be fired or will we still have to manually fure/hire them? Thanks.

Well, I never played as the mamanger but only as the GM so I guess thats what I mean. In OOTP6 I made all the changes, and even played out some games, ect. I just wnat to know if the option is still there "not" to be fired" as a GM then I guess.

I also saw that there is a commisioner role. Is this used for offline as well and what does that role intale?

However, I wouls still love to know the answer to the first question. Thanks.

The option will still be there to play as before. I believe it is called "commissioner mode" where you can still control and edit almost everything as you could in regular play in previous versions. See the end of this blog:

In other words, you want to be a micro-managing owner

If you're playing pre-1947 American baseball, then the All-American Mod (a namefiles/ethnicites/nation/cities file pack) is for you.

Anyway, just to be clear, you can be both commissioner AND control a team.

If you put it that way then it sounds more like Selig mode!

Yes...but the difference is most of us would want to actually be successful at both aspects of the job.

I don't know, it might be fun to run a league and a team into the ground.

Seriously though. One team. Full control. Can't get fired. Simple question. Can you do it?

That was a serious answer. If you play as the commissioner, you can control a single team, and never get fired. There's no other difference.

What part of "Yes" do you have trouble comprehending?

I would like to just do the College and Rule 5 Drafts fro my team and have the computer do the rest for my team like making Trades,Signing Free-Agents,Firing Front Office/Staff is that possible? You would probley tell me to go on vaction?
Fast Sim Mode where you can get more then one year done in a day?

To the first part, yes.

To the second part, I'm not sure I understand the question. For me, simming an entire season for a major-league style league with 11 different minor leagues and 200+ teams takes less than an hour. (Sorry, don't have the precise numbers handy.) That's the default sim mode, there's no "extra fast mode" that I know of.

This quote gave me the impression that in "commissioner mode" you controlled all the teams, not one team:

And then the smiley after Markus' answer made me think he was joking.
