Major Leaguers with Initial Draft

How? I can load from database into a historical league, but that doesn't have the initial draft option. Custom league does. Custom also give me the option of creating with no players. That leads me to believe that I can somehow import players. But how?

Please help. I want to start a league with known players instead of fictional, but want to start with a different amount of teams and a "fresh start".

In the League Options menu, Basic League Setup there's a button near the bottom that does Reset, Release All, Fantasy Draft. I think that's what you want.

I've asked this in four different forums and gotten the same answer so maybe I have a bad version or something didn't load or I'm not asking this the right way.

There is no release all, fantasy draft button in a historical league. There is in a custom league. I don't know how to get historical players into a custom league.

Therein lies the problem.

I hadn't run a historical league in a long time so I just fired one up quick. In the initial generation there isn't a fantasy draft option. However, once the league is generated and you're taken to the standings screen, you can go to the League Menu, League Setup and the option is on that screen.

I generated a historical league, went to standings, league setup...no reset release option.

I've got OOTP6.

I don't know why I am having so much trouble.

It's in the game. Go to "League Setup" and on the "Basic League Functions" page you will find it under the "League Settings" header.

Make sure you change game mode from replay to career too

I've had this problem, and if you are in 'Manager Mode", you can't have a release all option. Start again without manager mode, hsve the fantasy draft, and then start your manager mode. If that isn't the problem, sorry, disregard all.l

This is correct and if u start in historical mode the first thing you have to do is go league setup/basic functions ..in the upper lefthand corner it will say replay..change it to career

Wow, bad computer penmanship, ('Manager Mode", hsve, all.1). I try to do better than that, sorry before I get made fun of.

Historical League, Career mode on, Manager Mode off. That's the ticket.

Works fine once you get the right combination. It would be nice if that had actually been in the manual.

There's a blog about how great the manual is going to be this year. I'm not sure who wrote the one for OOTP6, and I don't want to criticize since it was probably Steve or Markus with their plate full of tons of other stuff but I'm hoping for much improvement this year.
