Setting age/experience limits in leagues

I haven't skimmed through all of these posts/blogs...but can you set age limits and/or experience restrictions in your minor leagues? For instance, suppose that in a Class A league, a team can have no more than 10 players who are 23 or older, and no more than three players can have four years of experience.

No, that's not supported in this version...

But at least one beta tester has submitted it as a request for a future addition.

Help me.... I'm trying to imagine a universe where these sorts of limits would make sense.

Are there any sorts of restrictions on minor league team compositions in the MLB or any other league in existance?

Yep. We need LGO here, but there are actually tons of these. For example, MLB rookie leagues have very specific rules, something like "no more than 2 players over the age of 25" or something like that.

Found at least one example:

All-Star Game: None
Roster Limit: 35 active
Player Eligibility Rule: No more than 17 players 21 and older, provided that no more than two are 23 or older. No player on active list may have more than three years of prior service
Brand of Baseball: Rawlings

This is the info for the Pioneer league. As you can see the team can have 35 players but not more than 17 can be 21 and over and not more than 2 can be 23 or older.

Question... answered

I'm sold, makes a lot of sense then in recreating minor league systems.

Nearly all minor leagues have some sort of restriction on the use of veteran players execpt for Class AAA and those out of the National Agreement.

My Logan's Run League will force every player 30 or over to undergo the Trial of Renewal on Carrousel.

What was that? Sorry? I've used that joke already? You've seen that one before? But nobody is laughing at it. Usually when I tell a joke, people laugh... oh, I see, I've used that one before, everyone's seen it already... I get it. From now on, I'll try to make my Logan's Run references funnier...

Okay, a Runner, a Sandman, and Box all walk into this bar, see...
