The campus has basically been buzzing with this news the past week. Numerous protests against the alleged actions of members of the team have taken place on campus and off.

So they have been convicted already?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending the alleged conduct, just questioning the current practice of not waiting for the investigation to be completed.

No, no one has been convicted yet. They are waiting for the results of DNA testing I believe. The DA is adament that a rape occured, but he has political motives. The team captains maintain that the team is completely innocent and no sexual interaction, let alone rape occured.

EDIT: Innocent of the rape accusations, that is. Obviously, underage drinking went on.

Yeah tell me about it. Believe me, if these guys did this I will be as disgusted as any of you by such a horrible crime but whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Trola, my first post is a bit vague. Obviously the investigation has touched a chord in the community. There's plenty of people who want to see immediate action. But when it comes down to what matters, they'll get a chance to show their innocence.

Isn't using whore a bit of a stretch here Skip? She was reported as an exotic dancer.. I mean it is an assumption isn't it?

Just because she was an exotic dancer doesn't mean she was a going to perform certain acts. We don't know all the info, and using whore is a bit over the top don't you think?

Sounds like recruiting campaign for exotic dancers. It's just dancing and should not be considered sexual acts!

Vaginal tears would be an indication of force. Scratches and bruises on the body as well, I'd guess.
