StickWare Schedule Generator 4.1 is released!

Hi all...

I added some things to StickWare schedule generator.

Here are the new features:

- Added default time zone for any Lahman team abbreviation! Yes, this means that you should never have to manually assign a time zone. You can add more abbreviations to the list by editing the "Timezone.txt" file.

- Added "Day Games Only" option for those historical leagues played before lights were used.

- Added ability to use a "schedule.ini" to assign start times & pct of day games. This option is powerful, because you can assign different start times for different teams, plus more importantly you can assign percentages of day games for week and Sat games separately. So you can make the Cubs play all those weekday afternoon games and you can make some teams play more sat night games than others.

- Fixed "# of games must be even" error that appeared on some weird league configurations.

- Used the "Year" in combination with the "Seed" to create Random Seed. This means that the same "Seed" value for different seasons will yield a different schedule each year.

Your schedule generator is the icing on the OOTP cake. It really makes my old time league seem more real, particularly with the "day games only" feature.
For those who haven't used the program, get it! Schedules and off-days are much more realistic.

I almost made the mistake of asking the first stupid question. But then I read the README file and.... imagine that.... my answer was there!

Ok, I'll bite.... but let me premise this with a big thanks to Dave for a great utility - it truly makes the game better.

Anyhow, here's my question/comment - I keep generating schedules that don't result in teams from the same division playing each other at the end of the year. My league is 20 teams (split into two leagues), two divisions with 5 teams per division in each league. We play an unbalanced schedule (24 games -v- division) with no interleague. Every schedule I generate gives me a September in which teams of the same division do not play....is there a way around this? I've tried changing the seed, but while the matchups change, I still have no inter-division games.

Any help is much appreciated.

Let me concur with some earlier posts. This is a great utility and adds that last little twist to my historical replays, especially with the "day games only" addition.

Kudos.

Ya know....that's an excellent idea.

I will look into putting finishing the season with divisional games in an upcoming patch.

Near as I can tell, the Schedule Generator won't work for online leagues which need schedule consistency. However, it's a very usable utility for all the other leagues. Thanks Dave!
