A newby problem.
Hey, how's it goin...
I downloaded OOTP version 5 a few days ago and love it. So much so, I have already bought the 6.5 version. Only one problem, though. When I try to run seasons the game always crashes at least once per season. Usually twice or three times a season. I am a novice, so I will try to make this as concise as possible. My system specs: I have a Gateway with at least 156 megs of ram and 140 gigs of free HD space. And a Pentium 4 chip. I have started only one league, a standard career league w/30 teams. Under contemporary rules. The computer runs everything (I have not started a manager's career). I try to sim through the whole season and a text box comes up: We are sorry for the inconvenience, etc. Occasionally, I will try to change the lineup or something else for the Kansas City team, and whenever the game crashes, I bring it back up. When it does this, it is usually right before a KC game. I very much appreciate your attention in this matter, and should you need any additional info, I will be more than glad to give it. |

You more than likely have the same player listed twice in a lineup or an injured player scheduled to start. Check very closely to be sure that the rosters and lineups are o.k. If the game crashes before a game, there is usually something wrong with one of the teams scheduled for that game.
