Short Season Financials
Hi guys... i'm playing a short season league, with a salary cap of 80 MIL. I play 30 games, about 1/5 of a season.
The way I am able to have my teams' incomes generate enough money to pay for their payrolls is to crank up the TV contracts so that it makes up for attendance revenue lost. Thats been working pretty well, but because the artificial TV revenue is uniform for each team, there is very little income discrepancy between teams that have a lot of fans and those that have few. Idealy, I'd rather have the income based more on attendance at games, as it is in most leagues. However, to do that I'd really need ticket prices to be 5 times higher to make up for the short season. Is there any way to get fans in OOTP to shell out $50 for a ticket like we do in real life? If not, any other ideas on how to do finances for a 30 game season? thanks, -Max |

The maximum ticket price you can offer is $20.
Another problem is that prospects may develop too slowly because of the short season. |

You could vary (edit) the merchandising dollars generated. The bigger the fan base the more the merchandise sold. The nice thing about merchandising is that once set it pretty much stays the same from season to season. It'll dip and or rise but not by much either way.
