Logo needed: Washington Lawmakers

I have no PS skills whatsoever and I have a new team in my league that needs a logo.
Washington Lawmakers

He thought maybe something simple such as a W and a gavel, or somesuch.

Can anyone help me out?

Goblox, as the owner of the team looking for this logo, I really like the look of the one you made. I'd just rather not have one that uses the W from the MLB Washington Nationals. They might be a bit annoyed by that, should they come across it. Everything else about it looks good though.

Maybe something in a typeface a bit more classic, as this league is a historical one. Something like the Boston Red Sox B, or the Yankees NY (but a W).
