Runtime error with imported leagues

Imported files for a couple leagues I have joined and when I try to open the leagues I get:

Runtime Error!
....../ootp65.ext
Abnormal program terminaltion

Any help here...been searching not finding anything

using version 6.51

What EXACTLY happens, I need as many details as you can give.

Basically I start version 6.51, go to where I can open a league file, the league is there, I have 2 of them on there, when I click on the one I want I immediatly get the runtime error I posted up above in a new window, I click on ok and the program shuts down.

Here is what it says:

Runtime Error!
....../ootp65.exe
Abnormal program termination

Sounds like the league file may not be properly installed. Does this happen with a newly created league as well?

what is the proper way to install it, I just unzip the file into the directory of ootp and its there directory and all.

Now, its also now doing with when I create a league up on my own right after I hit generate league.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Do you have plenty of HD space?

When you say "imported" leagues, are you trying to import them from a previous version of OOTP (like, say, OOTP5)? If so, you can't simply put the .lg folder in the OOTP6.5 directory and expect it to work - OOTP has to convert the league.

If I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do, then ignore me.

League files from online leagues I just joined, not imported from version 5.

All is well now after the reinstall....thanks for all the help.
