Cato Errors - Need a Cato Guru
Well, I've actually officially given up on this one particular league file, I think. I'm in the process of attempting to get a fully functional CatoBase up for an online league, but am not able to get past one of our early seasons due to multiple errors. In the last year I've tried multiple attempts at a fix and have tried virtually everything that's ever been posted to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, none of it has worked.
So my one last ditch effort is a massive plea for help. Would any Cato gurus be willing to download that end of season league file and give it a shot to run CatoBase with it? The season was ran with OOTP5 so that may or may not be an issue. I even tried importing that league file into 6.5 to run Cato, but that didn't work either. Maybe I'm missing something, or maybe the file is just corrupt, I don't know. The file is located at our site's main page ... http://www.potd.simleaguecentral.com ... in one of the menus on the left side of the screen, there's a series of links for Previous POTD Season Files. The file in question would be the POTD 2005 (OOTP5) season file. Thanks in advance ... and any help is definitely appreciated!

More information which may help ...
1) There is at least one instance in that 2005 season where a player (Raul Lazpita) was traded twice on the same day. 2) A shortstop named Larry Riker pitched in a game and retired nobody, yet gave up earned runs. I've read of the errors associated with that so I just wiped Riker out of the league entirely and tried it, but that didn't work (Riker is still in the league under the file that can be downloaded off the league's web site). Those are two errors that may be causing problems, but the problem is I don't know how to properly fix them. Not only that, but I'm not sure if those are the only errors causing problems or if there are others as well. Another edit: I've gotten 2003 and 2004 season files to work without any problems, as have Mike and Christina (I see you reading this thread, Mike!). They have also gotten 2006-2009 to work without any problems ... nobody yet has tried 2010-2013. It just boggles my mind how this one particular season in 2005 seems to have something all fouled up.

Good luck, Im on my second season in cato and when creating the Main League pages for that year, it gives me a E_FAIL error. All the other pages created fine, except for those. Ill try and run the 2005 tonight.

Thanks, Qrusher, let me know if you find anything.
Update for any who wishes to help ... I'm receiving many of the same errors for the 2010 file that I'm receiving for the 2005 file. First it'll ask me for a league.html file when importing the stats, then when creating the the HTMLs I'll get that Error 3021. I've determined that there has been players that have been traded multiple times on the same day. How do I effectively get into the CSVs to fix the bug?

Oh, hopefully you have backups of your mdb before you encountered these problems so you can try the above. If you are using the same mdb, I'm afraid it's a lost cause.

I'm gonna edit some of the trade dates for guys that were dealt twice in one day and see what happens. Right now I'm not even bothering to get a complete database setup ... I'm just trying to test each season to see if it will actually work. Right now five outta seven seasons are good to go, but two of them are giving me errors.

Fixed all the trades so players traded on the same day were all moved to the next day and there's no repeats. However, it's still not working. I'm getting a couple errors on the import alone ...
1) Field Players.Trade cannot be zero length string 2) Asking me to put the league.html file in the data folder I can use an almanac to get the league.html file, but I'm not sure if that's a proper fix or not. The first error I'm getting with Players.Trade is something that I don't have a clue how to fix. Any help? EDIT: I've read that with MS Access you can get into the database and fix errors. Any way to access those areas to fix necessary errors if one doesn't have Access?
