Tight band of owners seeks 3 more to fill out league

CPL is a unique fictional league that I started as a historical league in 1903. I simmed the first 100 years, and catobased all of it, with a few changes--- only 16 teams, draft introduced in 1940, free agency in 1960, a salary cap in 1980, and fictional players in 1990. Human owners took over in 2004, and we're nearing the trading deadline in our 3rd real season. I've slaved over the settings to use for the league, including creation modifiers, aging mods, etc.... the feel of the league is currently the 1960's-1970's era--- there are a bunch of stars, but a good talent distribution, meaning that having average players is important.

The rules in CPL have been designed to overcome some of the common drawbacks of online leagues. There's a salary cap of 70 million bucks, coupled with a guaranteed income of 70 million. In addition, you can only resign players that want to resign with you. As a consequence, free agency is quite active, and it's harder to build a dynasty. Of course, it's also easier to rebuild....

We sim 5 games a day, 5 days a week. I run a damn tight ship- things get done, on time. I understand if you can't participate ALL the time-- life makes us all busy. In these cases, the league takes care of your team so as to not comprimise competitiveness. The one thing I do demand of all the owners is that they are quite knowledgable... the other owners are people who've been known to dominate other leagues, and thus your head needs to be in the game in order to have a chance.

Please send me an email (sh.misra@gmail.com) with your name, email addy, aim screen name, team preference, and two references who can vouch for your baseball knowledge. The open teams are: Boston (A) Red Sox, Philadelphia (A) Phillies, Philadelphia (N) Phillies, and Detroit Tigers. All four are in relatively good shape, and any could make a run at the championship this season with some shrewd dealings... I am currently GM of the Tigers, but will switch to whichever team remains open after we fill up.
