Anyone use Core FTP here?
I've run into a problem with my league. I use Core FTP and I moved the league file to a different computer and I can't get a connection to upload. It may be because I have a dial-up connection but I don't think that would matter. The computer is a Windows XP, 70.3 GB hard drive.
EDIT: Would the Port 21 change at all since it is a dial-up question?

No the port would be 21 no matter how you connect. The FTP program also doesn't care how you connect. If you are trying to connect via FTP with a new or different PC I would check firewall settings on that PC and make sure it allows FTP and port 21 connections.

I have been using a program called Total Commander 6.02. It is actually a file explorer type thing, but has FTP built in. It is awesome.
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...id,6744,00.asp It's shareware, so you get a nag screen, but no biggie. I mininize it to the system tray and you don't get the nag screen everytime you use it. It zips, copies, moves, all sorts of stuff, even lets you have dual panes.

I'm having problems identifying exactly where you're getting your error. Is it after connecting and logging in, during the login, or just getting connected? There's a lot of different things that could be going on -- without a specific error message it's hard to know for sure where to start looking.
To test the connectivity, you can even just start a CMD prompt ("DOS window"), and try to open an FTP connection to the site. If you get connected, you'll be prompted for a login/password. Somewhere along that path you should be able to find out for sure what the problem is. So, if it's an issue of getting connected-- 1. Start. . .Run. . .CMD.EXE 2. FTP ftp.examplesitename.com 3. If connected, you'll be prompted for a username 4. Prompted for password If you get an error message at step 2, make sure you can connect to the site some other way (can you access it via http? can you ping it?). If you know you're connected, is it a filespace problem (are you exceeding whatever storage you're allowed)? Can you connect from another machine and upload something? That's a shotgun approach -- a little something that covers a lot of possibilities. An error message would help.
