Talking TO suspended for entire season

Thought this deserved a special thread to accelerate the issue.

The whole year!

Bye-bye to Philadelphia's playoff chances though.

So are we still going to call this move "getting Keyshawned"? Or will it be "getting T.O.ed" now?

Even though it'll be harder for the Eagles to make the playoffs, I'm glad that cancer has been cut out of the team.

Of course, next season someone will sign him and the same crap will continue. It would be nice for the NFL teams to say "have fun in Canada" but we all know that someone will sign him.

please like we'd want him. He'd be pissing all the time about the cold and only getting paid 50,000$. HIs team-mates would probably try to lynch him.

Send him to that euro NFL instead, we don't want him.

EDIT: Good call by the Eagles management. Good ridiance to bad rubbish

As a Giants fan, I consider this to be great news on just about every level.

Is this the offical "Laugh at the Eagles thread" ?

This is fantastic news. Giants are 6-2. Eagles are battling team turmoil and just lost to the same Skins that the Giants trashed a week earlier. This football season is turning out alot better than I could have even hoped for !

Well, it somewhat shows that indeed Reid had no idea what to do with Owens.

Isn't this just a way to not pay him a few million? Is there a good reason why the team would win that grievance? (I've not followed this.)

He's suspended without pay for 4 games (three more -- the four is the max you can do that), but he'll get paid for the last 5 games whether he's on the team or not.

Except the football, although that would be a good endzone celebration.

Yep - although there will be more than a few teams that will pass because of this. I expect the Raiders to be first in line to bring him an offer.

Exactly, hopefully he will be out of the news for awhile, but I doubt it.

Good grief.

That would be ungodly scary. Either the TO Moss combo would vault them to a SB win, or the team would implode and fail to win more than three games.
