NFL Loser's Pool: Week 9

Congrats! For the first time all season we did not lose a player!

Baltimore made it close but in the end, the Ravens were able to pull out the loss.

Good luck in Week 9!

I do not like this week's schedule. My pick will be coming later after some more though.

Yes, it does look like a tough week.

Yes, it seems like several favorites are on the road and there are some real stinker match-ups that make picking between two bad clubs tough. My guess is we will lose at least a couple players this week.

What has Indy done in the past few years to make you think they'll win it this time?

Or 2002 Pats vs 2002 Colts
Or 2004 Pats vs 2004 Colts
Or 2001 Pats vs 2001 Colts
Or...

Manning just cannot play in Foxboro against this team. No matter who he is playing with, no matter how stout the defense has become. It's going to be a hell of a game, let me tell you.

But I have a feeling you're wrong.

I like INDY's acquisitions, and I like New England's loses (in both coaching and on the field stars).

They didnt play in 2002. In 2003 and 2004 New England was a MUCH better team than this years Pats. They went 14-2 both years, a mark they won't come close to reaching this year.

I hope you get injuried too. I would like that.

That's kind of a ****ty thing to say, don't you think? "I like New England's loses". They are still 4-3 and in first place. They also haven't had the cupcake schedule the Colts have had up to this point. This will be the first real test for that Colts vaunted defense.

They did play in 2001. Sure the Colts ended up 6-10 that year, but the Pats plastered both times they played, putting up 40 points both times. Overall, Manning has a had a subpar record against the Pats, especially since Belichick has been in power. I see Manning getting frustrated and flustered all night. Especially if Seymour is healthy and terrorizing the O-Line, like usual.

Easy, don't get your panties in a bunch. Are you really that dense or just such a Pat's Homer that you aren't thinking clearly? As a fan, I like INDY's chances given their acquisitions and New England's loses. Must take quite a bit for you to read into it thinking I am happy for injuries to people I don't even know.

I didn't call you out on 2001. I called you out, correctly, on 2002. Then you went on your rant of 01 that had nothing to do with any part of my post. I think you give too much credit to seasons in the past. Especially, if you feel the need to go back 4 years.

Excusez-moi, s'il vous plait. I missed 2002. I was just trying to prove a point that it doesn't matter what the records are when these two play, Manning just hasn't gotten it done against the Patriots and Bill Belichick.

Sure, I understand what you're saying. The injuries have taken a toll on the Patriots. But the fact remains, they had the hardest opening 6 games of anyone in NFL history. They pulled out of there 3-3, when they could've easily been worse (last second comebacks against Pitt and Atl). They are a game and a half up on the division. The Colts have not proven much over the first half of the season. They haven't played anyone yet, this will be their toughest game to date.

And I'll go back as far as I want. Dominance is dominance. Especially at Foxboro/Gillette.

Let's just let bygones be bygones and say this is going to be the game of the year, so far.

I really shouldn't keep counting on Chicago for victories, but with a lack of better options, New Orleans.
