Wow, this is a feel good board. Any kind of negative feedback is crushed, and then some people think the rest of us are idiots by saying, "make it polite and constructive". As if someone did that, all of the sudden everyone else here would just accept it and be nice. Good try, but most of us have an IQ over 10, so we pretty much figured it out that that is not the case. In any case, I just wanted to post this quick review for any new person coming here, so they wouldn't get the feeling that this game, and forum sucks. This is, by far, the greatest baseball sim ever. It has unlimited playback fun, and for those of us that love the inner workings of baseball, it is obsurdly adictive. There are shortcomings, but since I've been playing the game, markus has released 2 or 3 patches to fix little things, and the game has not been out that long. So, in short, not only is this game fantastic, the support for it is like none other as well. So, if you like stat driven, GM style baseball, this game is a must have, without a doubt. And let me just say, lots of people on this board have helped me immensely, I appreciate them, and this forum that is provided to us, "FREE OF CHARGE".
Go Redsox.

I just posted in another thread that Saddam Hussein is a more competent leader than the last 5 presidents of the US. And I wasn't flamed for it, when I should have been.
Seriously, this is one of the least touchy forums I've participated in online or offline. People are always criticizing this game, but not everyone is doing it in a constructive, friendly manner. If someone gave me a *complement* using the same tone as a lot of posts made here, in real life, I would punch them in the face without thinking twice. I hate cliches, but if there is one that holds universally true it is that you get a lot further with sugar than you do with vinegar. Jason

Jason, i agree, and most of my posts are sent half heartedly. I too would exact some punishment, as you would. I love this board, and the responses I get from alot of you are hilarious. You responed very politely and articulately, which is great, alot dont. I don't know how other boards are, as I don't use them for this reason alone. But this is a good board, with good memebers, as I stated in the original post. You do do better with sugar, but one other thing to remember. Antagonizing the antagonizer just makes him happier, as is evident with the over 100 replies to his email. Once again, Can't we all just get along.

I think the recent case of the sillies will fade quickly, especially if we don't feed it. There are so many helpful people here who make this a real community and not just some kind of tech support board. I can't believe the amount of work regular users have put into producing things that enhance the enjoyment of the rest of us (Ex: rosters, facepaks, etc.)
I'm glad to be a part of the OOTP community. |

LOL, and we've already had one case on this board where there's someone neglecting his "naked wife in bed" due to his love for Markus, lol. So this touchy stuff needs to pass.....lol.

Subby,
Please don't use the word "fat" and "orgy" in the same sentence. It gives me the willies!! Plus, it reminds me of Fritz. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> |

I think I'm going to take a raincheck on this one...

Fritz,
As I figured, you turn this over to "name calling". Just skip it, forget I even mentioned your name, but if you think I've got a pencil neck.............my location is in my profile. Look me up. |
