Beta Baseball recruiting for its 13th season!

Beta Baseball is a fictional league that uses talents only. We have been active for a long time, as we are entering our 13th season. We have two vacant teams that I will describe below: the Lennongrad Coléoptères ans the New Skojpp Czars. The league features a dedicated and active group of owners, most of which have been here for a really long time, which includes members of this message board such as mlyons, ill16ca and Vris.

The Lennongrad Coléoptères are one of the top teams in recent years. However, they were getting old and were starting to have financial troubles, so they initiated a youth movement. They have plenty of young prospects, some of which are already part of the major league squad, such as pitcher Ian Worang and 2016 Rookie of the Year Rhett Dyer. They are a middle-of-the-pack team that is one of the youngest in the league, and with the 10th payroll out of 12 teams, they have some room for taking on star players in free agency.

The New Skojpp Czars are loaded. They are loaded with money, with talent, with big contracts. However, it hasn't paid off yet, as they always fall short of winning the BL title. Will you be the one to turn this franchise, featuring a wide array of stars such as perennial all-star catcher Ignace Lauchart and 2014 AL MVP Marcellin Champagnat to a championship?

Those two teams have been open for a few seasons now and desperately need owners! Someone has to come in and trump George Falls over and over and over!

Vris has it right. The teams have been vacant for a while. We have very few personnel movements: it's rare that someone joins, but when they do, they usually stay a while.

We are still looking. For those that neve tried talent only or fictional, I think that it's worth a shot, it's a different experience, and it rewards good general managers that take time to observe.

Hey, come on everyone, I jumped on board, and took the lousy team with the terrible finances, in the division with the unstoppable teams! So, there's one left with much more talent and $$, in a more competitive division.
