Creating Hometown's for second year player's?

How do I do this?

The rookies show up as USA.

I want to give them a random city, via one of the originating mods out there. Exported the General.csv from my game, did the edits, but the game shuts down after I import the csv back in. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong please let me know.

keywords:

origin maker import export

If you manually did the edits in excel you will run into problems, unless you save as a csv file. You also need to format the ht field as M-D date field.

Using the originator program is much easier and you can create your own origins as well as names...

The originator can be found at the ootpdownloadcenter

I just tried to edit 1 guy in the players_general and saved it as a csv and the height was in the proper format. Game still shuts down.

From the part you say about downloading the origin maker. Is that the Dave Williams one? How will it not change any existing player's city, state?

It only changes those who do not have a city state format already.

It doesnt change existing ones.

I run it on the Pro Circuit rookies every year and it never changes any of the established players.

Just export general csv; run the utility; import general csv and you're done.

And several people have made extras so that if you want, you can have players from unusual places.

Doesn't work for me, so I can't do anything.
