Runtime error after tranfsfer from one computer to another

Hi,

I checked through the faq and some previous threads and am having no luck in finding an answer.

I've recently bought a new computer, and wanted to transfer ootp6 (plus patches) from my laptop (running on windows2000pro) to my new computer (running on windows xp home).

I tried to start a historic league (1901), set up for the stats transfer from lahman52_csv, and received the foillowing error message:

Runtime error!

Program c:\ootp 6 \ootp 6.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just to be clear, you have the Lahman database on your laptop?

and on my new computer...I downloaded it before transferring ootp.

Did you copy and paste things? Or did you do a fresh install?

I copied and pasted. Let me looked around for the re-install.

I'm not finding the ootpinstall.exe file

I went to the downloads section of the website and found the ootpsetup file, downloaded it and it solved the problem. Thanks for getting me in the right direction.

I had a runtime error while simming a couple of days ago. The game closed. When I opened it up again, the scores and team records were correct but none of the players got the stats for those few days. Any chance of this affecting the rest of the season (other than final stats), that you know of?
