Resurrecting Cato Issues with 6.5a

Wanted to have a place to revisit, if need be, some of the problems we had discussed with Cato and 6.5a as well as list potential fixes for 6.5b if Markus doesn't have a record of our last comments. This is a repost of an early comment made on the mid-season retirement issue:

The fix is probably simple to do. Search lnews.txt for any mid-season retirements and put into ltrans.txt a statement that the team released the player. Catobase knows how to handle players being released.

Markus - If you read this, could you possibly make a change to the program so that OOTP automatically adds a release statement for the players retiring mid-season?

Could someone repost those examples of what the ltrans.txt file is supposed to look like with correct spacing?

You need a hard break after trade transactions.

You also need to watch out for retired players. These will be indicated with an "href=r" rather than "href=p". You will need to change the "r" to "p" which can be done with a simple find and replace command. One thing though is to enter a release line before each of the retired players, otherwise their ststa won't show up for both teams in CATO.
