Squeeze Play bug
I'm sure this comes up extremely rarely--1st time I've seen it in the years I've played OOTP.
Playing out the game against the AI, the AI has runners on 1st and 3rd with 1 out. Runner on 1st has 78 speed and 78 steal. I pitch out. The runner on 1st isn't going... but the AI tries a squeeze play and... gets a terrific bunt down the third base line. Luckily, this was a meaningless regular season game, but I'd be pretty PO'd if this happened in the playoffs. A pitchout should result in a missed (or bat pulled back) bunt.

Depends on how far out the pitchout was. If I was the batter in that situation, the ball would have to be thrown in the dugout for me not to try to bunt that. If it's anywhere in the vicinity, I would do my best to get the bunt down as I can't leave my teammate running home in that situation.
But yeah, he could have missed, but I doubt he would have pulled back.

Unless you were a righty batter and the guy on 3rd was fast. He'd probably make it anyway. |
