Let me start by thanking you all for your warm reception.
I'd like to appraise you on our specific plans for the next gestation of Title Fight 2001. To begin with: 1. The game will remain, as stated, primarily a dedicated boxing simulation. A detailed and sophisticated boxing management/role-play/financial aspect will be added to the original, not replace the original. 2. Our first order of business will be to fix what's "broken" before adding to the boxing simulation. That means addressing the major areas in which there needs to be improvement: the commentary and the interface. 3. A list of new features will be posted here soon. |

The beauty of Title Bout as a board game is that it gave you the fundamental action and you had to flesh out the simulation using your imagination. The translation into a PC product meant that the imagination part of things went by the by leaving a huge dependance on the 'reality' the game itself could generate.
While the potential was there for an awesome adaption of the board game, it didn't quite happen. With the enhancements you have noted, Title Bout could finally become what it always promised it would be - the ultimate boxing simulator. My fingers are crossed! |

Rather than repeat all the other good things that have already been said about your previous games, I'll just say I'm very eagerly awaiting the release of Title Bout (or whatever you decide to call it). Good luck guys!

I'd like to say that I had never, ever, been a boxing fan until I tried the trial addition of your original game. Since then I've been hooked. I purchased the game before the trial period expired, just so that I could continue the career I had started. Unfortunately for me, that was 2 hard drives, 2 ISP's, and 3 credit cards ago. ![]() I no longer have a version of the game installed (I have my license # if you've got some idea's on how I can re-license). If I remember right, Title Bout was a new edition of the game that I downloaded from BoxingMag. If it is an improvement, and the version in the works is building off of Title Bout, I'll be in line on release day to download. Once again, thanks and good luck!

I'm not a big boxing fan currently and have never played any boxing computer/board text based sim games. I used to play Knockout Kings and a couple other graphic console games. However, I am looking forward to seeing how this game turns out and from the reply's so far it looks like it will be an excellent sim game. Most importantly though, congrats on becoming a member of the .400 team.

I'm glad to see the emphasis on fixing the parts of Title Fight 2001 that don't work as well as they should. In my view, the biggest problems are
1-The commentary. There are lots of things going on but it doesn't really let you know who's on top. I much prefer the commentary in APBA Boxing which is leaner but let's you know, for example, who is fighting more aggressively, who is hitting harder, who is missing more punches, who is jabbing more and who is getting in good counterpunches. 2-The editor. It's too hard to use. In APBA boxing you could change ratings by erasing the old rating and inserting a new one. For instance, changing a jab from 10% to 25% meant erasing the 10% and inserting the 25%. In TF 2001, you have to click on the arrow until the 10% increases to 25%, a much more cumbersome procedure. 3-The cut/swelling etc. status bars. I find them difficult to use. You can't tell from them how close the ref or doctor are to stopping the fight. I hope the new edition will fix a lot of these problems. If so, I'll be very interested in buying it. |

Fixing the commentary is far and away the number one item to be worked on. It is not good (I'm being polite), but you already know that.
I liked the old "Create a Fighter Wizard". An improved version of that would be cool. My personal choice next would be fixing the way you set up a fight or fight card. You need more info about individual fighters at your fingertips. Say you want to set up a fight for Fireman Jim Flynn. You want to be able to find a suitable opponent without going all over the place to find him. This is a windows environment after all. And how about something really revolutionary? It's brand new. They call it......sound! (just kidding). Cap

One other little thing I'd like to see. Somewhere else we mentioned having an option for the individual gamer to be able to key in extra info like height, prime fighting weight, country of origin. I'd also like to be able to put in each fighter's prime year(s). I like to match up guys from similar eras, so if you have a lot of fighters (I have hundreds of heavyweights) it'll make it easier to spot potential match-ups. This shouldn't be too hard to do.
And while I'm dreaming, I'd like to be able to see a fighter's ranking while I'm putting together a fight card. It should follow him around like his photo and record. Cap -scrounging for empty pop bottles to pay for the game...:-) |

Ah geez, that's an obvious thing I forgot all about...the ranking! It has never worked right, at least for me....It definately should follow the fighter around everywhere in the game and should be readily available, like optional photo and his record...with KOs. I really would like to see his TKOs and KOs with his win-loss record.
I also like the idea of prime years listed. And somewhere else I mentioned maybe a short bio screen available to enter/edit notes in.
