Exporting via ftp issue

Ok I can ftp via dialup but when i go wireless or on the school's network it says cannot connect to server. I talked to the support at the school and there is nothing blocking me from doing this. I can keep doing it by email but would like to get this ftp issue taken care of.

Your school's network most likely has a firewall and the person you asked probably doesn't know much about ftp. FTP is a security hazard and in a school network, I would expect the security safeguards to block ftp.
