If this is a sim that represents the decisions a player must make, then the decision to take steroids or not has to be in the game.
Players are trying "strike it rich" and if they are just average players, they know a few good seasons could put them over the top and the ability to sign a huge contract. Also...if you include this, the game would definatly be mentioned in some NEWS stories thus generating additional exposure. [ 05-30-2002, 10:46 AM: Message edited by: davep1967 ]

I find it amusing and I like it. Just one more twist to a potentially good game

Reminds me of Fallout. And if you took to many steroids at once you got a big "ADDICT" message and it affected your coordination.

If a player did decide to take steroids there should be some penalty involved, such as increasing the probability that one will become injury prone (e.g. Canseco, McGwire, Ruben Sierra).

I think steroids are a great idea but in order to avoid any heat for including them I also think there should be some consequence. Like being more injury prone, or even better, the risk of getting found out. It would be funny to see a player try to weasle out of a contract that calls for drug testing.
In addition, although I HATE how its ruined my beloved game; I think baseball strikes and labor issues should be sprinkled about the game. It would make for some pretty interesting conversation; "How is your ITTP player doing?" "Oh, he's not playing anymore; the league is on strike."

Love the strike quote. I was hitting .395 but I'm not playing the rest of this year. Have to take care of my family, you know how it is.

lol this game should be great, i cant wait 'till it comes-out. i wonder how will a sim league be run with this particular game. i just cant think of a way you 'll run a sim league with it. do u just get 25 owner(own a player) for each team? there's like 28 team in the majors so you'll need quiet a few peoples.
