Mascot and Logo request

I would appreciate some suggestions and some help with a logo for a league I'm joining. The town name is Fiery Gizzard. I have thought about just using that as the complete name but probably want a mascot and also a logo design and would be grateful for the great work that you guys do with the logos.

Hey Steve-
You said the town name was "Fiery Gizzard" so I had to do some research. Well it turns out that its in Tennesee and its somewhere in the moutains. Its more or less a hiking trail.

So there are a few different nicknames we can chose from...At least now, I have some ideas to work with, since the inside of a chicken just wasn't working for me. :\ I will try to get something out today/tomorrow, plus I wanted to give others out there and idea of what/where Fiery Gizzard was (aka Grundy Forest State Natural Area).

If you want changes (color's, font, etc) or want a different logo (nickname, non-circle) just let me know and I will see what else pop's in mind.
