New OOTP Online League List

Well I recently decided to do the community a service and compile a list of all the leagues I could find online. I originally searched for one on the OOTP site but didnt see it, so I took it upon myself. I spent 7 days (started the day before 6.5 came out) compiling the list.

I dug through all the pages of the online board, the actual list on the OOTP site, another list the simleaguescentral site, went through 300 signatures on this board and any other signatures I came across in my daily board viewing. This resulted in 146 different leagues which are on the list. The list includes the website and commissioner information (if available) as well as some additional info.

Please read the notes at the bottom of the page before going off on me, I changed my ways slightly as I went along and saw more leagues. If you feel something should be changed please send me an email.

If you guys can think of a category to add feel free to reply, if theres enough support and I can find the time Ill do it, but keep in mind I would have to go back through 146 leagues so nothing frivilous or something that changes frequently.

Let me echo those sentiments of thanks! It seems that someone does this every three or four months, but it never lasts.

One thing, while it's nice that ABL Old-School maintained its alphabetical superiority, Ryan Donaldson is now the commish. You do have the right AIM and e-mail. Also, the league uses OOTP5, not OOTP6.

ABL also has 32 teams.

fixed, thanks for the info...many leagues had OOTP5 listed on the rules page then the reports showed differently so half the time it was a guessing game.

and so long as I get some help from the community in updating Ill keep it going

cool idea, but your f2m.cgio file needs soemthing closed. it pukes out html code when you try to submit a league

once the form is submitted it just shows the same page again with the html summary at the bottom...I got the form

1 league to add to your list, it may very well be the oldest running league in existance, as it started in 1995 with FPS 94, though of course it has changed quite a bit over the years. :]

One change though that I need to ask of you, is that the Home Plate Baseball League is ran by Cody Green (Raderick24) and not RandyC427. He is only an assistant commisisoner.

Also, the Home Plate Baseball League could be considered MLB Modern Modified as we have a couple of teams moved.

Yes, well done.
Just a quick note. The Historic sim Golden Age of Baseball uses OOTP5 instead of OOTP6

Very nice work. Would like to make a suggestion, if I may. Set your table width to 100% rather than in pixels. That way it will fit in all windows, regardless of what resolution the user has his settings at.

NP, just pointing it out. User friendlieness is one thing that keeps people coming back to a web site. Unnecessary scroll bars don't fall under the catagory of user friendly.

its an added three inches of scrolling to try to keep the page in better order.

I'm trying to help the community by presenting information that wasn't previously available; how is that not "user friendly"? If plenty of people want it at 100% Ill put it there, but at this point in my opinion its better where it is. I didn't do this to bring as many people as possible to my site, I did it to help the community. If I disagree with the idea don't lecture me like I'm an idiot. This isn't my very first website.
