Does Team Focus Work?

Just wondering what others' experiences with the team focus feature has been. In my first 6.5 season no teams changed focus until mid-July and then only about 7 out of 24 teams changed. I tried to make a trade with a team that claimed it was rebuilding but they refused to even consider any of my excellent prospects for their star starter (who was going to be a free agent at the end of the season anyway). I also tried trading with a few of the Win Now teams but none of them would even consider trading away a top prospect. I also found it strange that the two worst teams in the league didn't switch to rebuilding. Does this feature actually do anything?

it hasnt helped me in trades yet. I've seen it has helped the computer make trades with eachother though lol. my first yr i was playing as the braves & before the season started i noticed that phillies & mets were "win now" teams & after the trade deadline both teams rosters were noticably different, they both had added veterans (the mets for example had brought in mike sweeney from KC).

The thing that pissed me off wuz the Mike Sweeney part, cuz i was trying to pry the veteran from the rebuilding Royals too & offered a few packages (Adam LaRoche, Kyle Davies, Jeff Francouer, along with other offers) and could never get anywhere close to a deal but then when i looked at what the Mets gave up to get him i was really pissed cuz they just offered a 5 star MR prospect who was no where near the majors (i think the guy was still in Single A at the end of the yr).
