Just thought I add some things that could be added to the next game

1. Invite players to Spring Training
2. Assign injured players to go on a rehab assignment
3. Add incentives in player contracts including option years
4. Scouting foreign players (Stats from foreign country)
5. Relocating to another city

1. Sign a free agent to a MLC in the off-season before Spring Training. Nearly the same. Dump him after ST if you like.

2. I do this manually in my online league for players who've been on the 60 Day DL.

3. This would be interesting but complicated.

4. Just make yourself a foreign league that simultaneously sims. This way every stat is available to you from the foriegn league.

5. You can relocate to another city using the editor but you might want to set some house(or league) rules as to the costs of moving and the affects on fan interest, etc.

1. They have this in SI's eastside hockey manager 2005, so i wouldn't be suprised to see it in OOTP eventually if not in the next release.

2. Judging from how si's games are set up i don't think this would be THAT difficult. But i have no idea.

3. Once again, this is in both SI's Eastside hockey manager and football manager. I'd be shocked if it wasn't in OOTP7

2.why would you want them to go on a rehab assignment? thats just more time they are spending away from your roster.

Well, the idea is that (realistically) after a player is injured on the DL for a significant amount of time, he shouldn't be able to come back afterwards and play 100%. Right now in OOTP, I'm nearly certain that a player is ready to go back to work right after his actual injury time is up, and he'll play like he was never hurt. Hitters need time to fix their bat speed, pitchers need time to get back into their mechanixs, etc . . . I like the idea alot.

BTW, f.montota - I like how you have the workarounds/house rules to get these things to work in v.6, but it's really not the same thing. For one thing, it's only right if the CPU teams have the capability to do these things (on their own), as well.

No. In OOTP6 you will notice after an injury their ratings take a slight hit and putting them in the minors for however long will help bring them back to normal quicker.

Hmmm . . . I'd noticed the hits to the ratings, but I didn't think they would go back up after being sent to the minors. I'll have to try this out; I thought I had heard that rehab stints did nothing . . .

The same works for veterans. When they are 36 and are one-star roster fillers. Sometimes throwing them in the Minors for a month or two might raise their ratings a tad bumpin them up a star or two.
