Logo Requests: Remainder of Post-Contraction League
Hey, all. I need a few more logos for the Post-Contraction Baseball League. This is a project I'm updating for OOTP6.5, and I'd like to make the file available to the community for those who want to try a smaller MLB League.
The league file will start in 2005 with 16 teams. 14 of the teams were created by combining the information for two other teams. The Minnesota Twins and the Milwaukee Brewers became the Twin Cities Brewers, with Minor League Teams in Milwaukee, Des Moines, and Madison. Paul Molitor is the manager. Anyway, you get the idea. I've gotten some great logos from the community, and many are nice combinations of the logos from the earlier teams. A few examples below. I'm satisfied with the logos for: Bay Area Elephants, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cub Sox, Kansas City Cardinals, Los Angeles Angels, New York MetroYankees, Pennsylvania P's, Phoenix Padres, and Twin Cities Brewers. Of course, if you want to make a logo for one of them, feel free. I can always use alternate logos or stuff to make unis with. ![]() I need logos for: Atlanta Braves (something different then their current "A" or "Braves?" Anybody have something different?) Canada Nationals (combo of Toronto and Montreal...current logo is a C with a maple leaf. Any suggestions?) Detroit Natives (combo of Tigers and Indians) Florida Seacreatures (combo of Marlins and D-Rays) Ohio Orioles (combo of Baltimore and Cincy) Seattle Mountaineers (combo of Mariners and Rockies - my current logo is one I made, but it's a goat. Not a cool combo) Texas Frontier (combo of Rangers and Astros...Frontier combines a Ranger and Space...get it? I was thinking something like a cowboy riding a rocket would be great...Dr. Strangelove style?) Any help would, as always, be appreciated. I think that these logos present an interesting opportunity to play with some stuff that already exists. Last edited by drprestwood; 03-19-2007 at 01:53 PM. |

And for Ohio Orioles...
Not really a combination (red & orange don't go together very well)... "The Orioles in Ohio" Last edited by jdew; 06-17-2005 at 02:37 PM. |

Nice work! I like the Texas logo, but it doesn't show up well in the game. Then again, I did make a ridiculous request.
The Detroit Natives work is also nice...it's amazing how something as simple as a city name and a logo looks so much better when somebody other than me does it! Yeah, Red and Orange probably don't work well. I like the Orioles idea though. |

Thanks. I'm glad you like them.
No, the Texas one probably won't show up too well when the game shrinks it to itty bitty.... too much detail... but I have to admit that on my part its kinda tounge-in-cheek and your Dr Strangelove idea struck me as on the whimsical side so... |

Oh yeah, jdew. Don't get me wrong. I like it, and I'm using it now. I know what it is, so that's good enough. I'm just leaving it open that I'd like a more viewable one. It's great work though.

fantastic work, gents!
Still need: Canada Nationals (combo of Toronto and Montreal...current logo is a C with a maple leaf. Any suggestions?) Florida Seacreatures (combo of Marlins and D-Rays) Seattle Mountaineers (combo of Mariners and Rockies - my current logo is one I made, but it's a goat. Not a cool combo) And if somebody wants to try a larger Ohio Orioles (combo of Baltimore and Cincy) so it shows up in the game better, that would be awesome. EDIT: Thanks again for doing these. I not only have great logos, but great alternate logos to play around with. Last edited by drprestwood; 06-21-2005 at 01:19 PM. |

Bump for the Seacreatures, Mountaineers, and Orioles.
If somebody has an idea for a Mariners/Rockies combination, the name is negotiable. I just thought that Mariners traverse the sea, and replaced the sea with the Rockies... |
