best player you've ever had
Real or created player who was the most dominating player you had?
For me it was in the 1920s with Babe Ruth who for about 8 or 9 yrs was averaging 80 homeruns a yr, 180-200 RBI per yr, and a BA of over .330. |

I'm going to have to say Clemente Luna is the best player I've ever had on a team. His career is starting to wind down, but he's been a monster for the time I've had him.
Although: Troy Galey looks to surpass him in a few years. Too bad I haven't had him from the beginning. If you want pitching players: Josh Beckett Has had a fabulous career for me, but: Rich Oberg and Larry Bartlett look to be monsters of the staff. And since I'm whoring links, here's my fantastic closer: Jairo Frau. Yeah, I'm a powerhouse in the league.

For my solo Red Sox dynasty I traded for pitcher Jeff Allison from the Marlins, sending Derek Lowe to them before he became a free agent. This was in 2004, and I also recieved Ben Howard form the Marlins and he filled in well. But anyways, Allison debuted in the majors in 2007, and won 11 games, then he had 5 straight 20 plus win seasons, and 3 straight Cy Youngs, and at that point he was just 27, and had 119 wins. But in the 2011 season my laptop crashed, so who knows what type of pitcher he could have been, with at least 10 more seasons ahead of him.

OxyContin apparently not a concern for Allison in this alternate universe.

Fausto Carmona is just getting started in my online league, 4-14 for a no offense team in Montreal, with a 3.56 ERA. Those were rookie numbers. Sophomore performance even better. 15-5 with a 2.08 at the deadline. I have a better offense, but not by much.
