I think I've not watched the face darts channel. I will admit to one time in Saginaw gettin hand darted by a drunk during a match. BUT...I got the best revenge...three straight bulls to close out the match. Blood flying everywhere while I did it...somethin to see.

Yes. 50% of all the young car thieves were simply let out of jail. This has been slowed down.

Many of you know that I am exceptionally liberal, and accepting of diversity...but it was out of control. Little or no accountability, or disciplining of thousands of serious crimes.

Jennings, Missouri, a rough suburb of the city of St. Louis, has 15% of ALL traffic stops result in the cars simply taking off. Policy is to not chase them. So...there are people with dozens of tickets, and warrants, that just take off when stopped. No consequences.

I guess I’m the only person in here with a subscription to ESPN12, aka the Duce, aka the face-darts and slapping channel.

True story..........@ about 8 or 9 a neighbor friend about 2 years younger than me had gotten some darts. My dad had told my brother & I not to be playing with them. "You're gonna put your eye out!" as parents would often say. But he was away at work.

So we got those darts & threw them up in the air like rockets & then watch them come down into the ground needle first. Which we thought was the thrill of the century. Toss up, point down. Toss up, point down. Having a ball. Till I tossed one up & the point came down......

.......into my friend's forehead...........

Looked like a bloody unicorn. You wanna talk about some yelling & panic & screaming. And the kid was crying too. I just knew I killed him & I was going to the chair.

Mom heard the commotion, got him in the house, plucked out his new horn & bandaged & cleaned him up. Then took him to his mom, told her what happened & made me apologize. To which I said something that probably sounded like "IWWAHHHAAAYNNNAAAWWWBBOAAHAHHAAWAAAAA". I think the translation would have been "I sorry Mrs Evans! Please don't call the police! I didn't mean to kill your son, Kenya! I don't want to go to jail!"

My dad never punished me cause he knew I'd learned my lesson. And to prove it, cut to a decade later. I'm almost 20. We are at a cookout & dad wants me to throw darts with him. And I adamantly refused. Didn't want to touch those instruments of death. Thought he was trying to trick me. But I was on to him. Wasn't going to let him put a murder rap on me.

Lawn darts. Everyone had them when I was a kid. LOTS of kids died, when the dart came down from above. Truly the most dangerous toy ever invented.

You can go to prison for selling lawn darts.

You never know if they have a knife or screwdriver or whatever.
If you have open space, retreat and let security deal with it.

Ref's job isn't to defend himself. That's what security is for.

Oh we know security already screwed up. I'm not expecting them to protect me. They can't keep fans from bringing flares to the game.

Meanwhile, Wolves were up 2-0 in the Black Country derby @ West Brom when their fourth-round FA Cup game was suspended due to "crowd trouble" and "fans" spilling onto the field.

Lifetime bans, I say.

No. Perpetual bans. Don't even entertain the thought that your grandkids can bring your ashes back to the park!

Update: the game was brought to a conclusion after being interrupted for half an hour. Wolves 2, West Brom zip.

Chaos.

Yesterday, the second-league game between HSV and Hanover 96 (yes, actually) took well north of 2 1/2 hours to complete (HSV 3, Hanover 4) thanks to repeated interruptions of "fans" throwing crap on the field and other shenanigans (more at the bottom).

Today, only three of the five 15:30 Bundesliga games made it to halftime without similar interruptions, and the Union - Wolfsburg game is teetering on the brink of abandonment and they still haven't made it to halftime. Littering the field and such. Tennis balls seem popular, but gold-foil wrapped chocolate coins are as well.

Background: the DFL, the combined authority that governs the first and second leagues of German soccerball, recently decided to look for an outside investor to prop up German club's finances with a billion bucks or so, which is a hard no in the hardcore traditionalist fan scene (I could fill pages with the asinine behavior towards Red Bu- ... I mean, RB Leipzig and Hoffenheim, and others, Elversberg being a recent example after their sharp rise to second league).

The DFL voted 24-10 with 2 abstentions, just narrowly scratching the 2/3 majority needed to allow the league to actively look for the investor (pick an Arab sportswashing fund of your choice, probably).

The biggest outrage centers around Martin Kind, the CEO of the corporation actually managing the professional activities of Hanover 96, who allegedly voted Yes, despite being ordered by the actual Hanover 96 e.V. registered club to vote No, which is why there are now Hanover 96 fans displaying banners with his head and crosshairs on it at second league games.

Sometimes I miss the simpler times of 2020, when the rabble had to stay home and the games were over as soon as possible.

Home teams fans attacked the victorious visitors in Turkey, fighting security as they tried to storm the team into the locker rooms.
