Foul lines...and ground balls to the dug out

Has anyone else experienced this...I have batters hitting foul balls to the dugout...where the 3rd baseman will saunter over...grab the ball and throw out the batter who is walking to first. I have also had a second baseman field a ground ball which is obviously foul...where a tarp would normally be stowed on the first base side..and throw runners out. Do the foul lines mean anything in this game?

I have played entire seasons from 1961 to 1976 to date. These events happen more than you would expect.

Next time this happens, watch a replay because doing so automatically saves the movement text string to your clipboard. Then go to this thread – 3D player movement issues go here! – and paste it into a post with a brief description.

This is the normal course of action needed. The problem, in my experiences, is most times the replay will show the play as it should have happened, ie in the example in the OP the third baseman the replay will show a normal groundball to third. It will not document the glitched movements seen during the game.

Hopefully they were able to find the cause and fix it for v25.

Yes, others have experienced this. I would think anyone that plays out games has at one time or another, and probably somewhere between a few and several times if one manages every inning of every game.

Of course the foul lines matter. Do you think this would be by design? What a hyperbolic silly question to ask about something that would only be a bug.

There is an obvious glitch in the code, happening once is more than the developer would expect. It becomes hard to fix since replays are not showing the glitched movements. It is the developers problem and they are responsible to find the error and fix it. Markus, Matt and team care about the game and I'm sure aren't happy that this slipped in somehow.
I'd imagine they want it fixed more than you. It's an irritant to you as a user, to them it's their job. Hopefully they find the cause and fix it for v25.

There was an issue in 24 where the game would rotate the entire play over like 30 degrees but if you watched the replay it would be fine (and for that reason it was never an issue with movement). I have yet to see that issue in the betas for 25 and I have definitely been hunting for it.

That's good to hear.
