Logo Request
Hi folks - for whatever reason I cannot for the life of me figure out how to curve text, so I'm hoping someone can put "INLAND EMPIRE" in white on the top and bottom dark blue sections of the circle.

Use google and search on "photoshop curved text". Substitute your graphic program name. You should find video and text tutorials. I keep a printout since I can't remember squat.

GIMP. I've read several different tutorials but for whatever reason I can't get it to work.

It's very difficult to do in gimp. I abandoned gimp for inkscape because it's so much easier to do text of any kind in inkscape. Even just for the resizing.

There is a python script for script on a circle for GIMP that I used. I'll try to track it down in the next few days for you. That said, GIMP can be challenging for badge design at times. The Inkscape recommendation from 20_range is something I would agree with but the way the program works can feel a bit foreign at first. I use Illustrator now, which is a lot like Inkscape. I'd recommend that but the cost is prohibitive.
