You guys are first place in Our League. Who did you get?

First chance I had to log in today. San Pedro has put together a 14-3 September and finds itself at 80-68 just two games out of the second WC spot, I should not look more often....

According to my calculations, since Redmond has lost two OL games and Arkham won their first game vs Mudville, Arkham has clinched the Iron crown!

Pitching - got 94 OVR Forsch and 88 OVR Keuchel. Dumped Elmer Riddle and Jared Weaver.

I'm trying to win the division, I can't get an inch ahead of the Gutter Cats!

The offense of the Gutter Cats is no joke.

It looks like tooth and nail down the stretch.

Scrapping the NL theme for next season. Trying to get some of the fun back into this, and restricting myself in which historical stars I can go get isn't working anymore. I've found that theme teams are great for the first two levels, but once you start going further up the chain, it becomes a chore to keep it going, especially when you're not winning.

This season was a brutal learning experience, and I hate brutal learning experiences. We're not good enough for this level, and I hope we lose our final games and get relegated, that way I can sell off everyone and start over with a new idea and a new concept.

This is why I never pick relegation-threatened teams in Football Manager.

in football manager i loved picking the teams in the bottom rung of the premiership and try to work my way up. but, yeah, maybe try going with a team based around ratings rather than teams players played for. the game restricts us enough as it is by flooding packs with Live players.

I did take Hartlepool United & Bradford City to the Champions League in previous FM's, but I wouldn't take on that kind of task today. I actually prefer messing with the database and making everyone max potential and seeing if they develop. The cheater in me will not die easily

I see relegation this season as expected, but still a slap in the face. Even though I've said that I'm secretly hoping for back to back relegations to go back down to Iron where we probably belong, I won't lie that I'm pissed off just enough to where I would want to dominate next season and come back up at the first opportunity to prove that what I do actually works.

In Football manager I either start unemployed or in the lowest league in England.

Kaneohe/Sanguine have 3 games remaining to end the season, but other than a slight adjustment in their win/loss numbers, here are the Gold league results.

For the overall Gold league, Kaneohe and Luckenbach both secured their division titles and will be heading to the playoffs. CliffMarkle still clings to a threadbare hope of a wild card spot, but would need a major miracle for it to happen (one more loss by them or one more win by the current 2nd WC team will eliminate them). Waffletown was just eliminated in the last game played. On the relegation watch, Sanguine (30th) and Harlem (28th) are both still in danger of dropping back to Silver, with the Leicester Foxes sitting in 29th place and holding one of the two relegation spots (the Syrups just swept the Foxes in a 3 game set to try and help out).

Already used up my three slots, otherwise I'd join you. Too bad there's no "Start Again" button where you can get a fresh start, like there was in Football Manager Live (yes, there was a FM MMO. I was a beta tester!)

Well it's been that kind of season for the CliffMarkle Roadrunners. I exercised real restraint in not blowing the points I accumulated the last couple of weeks from achievements and selling off some players.

Even resisted spending the points when Charlie Gehringer bottomed out at about .180 mid-season on his batting average and my big sluggers Willie Stargell and Hank Greenberg also struggled.

So I see a 1901 94 rated Cy Young card on the auction house and sell of Mike Hampton to ensure I can afford him. I buy the Young card for 14,999 and throw him in the rotation to start right away, figuring with him and a 98 rated Steve Carlton I should be in good shape next season.

Well, good old Cy Young gets shelled for 8 runs in the first inning of his debut and manages to retire just one batter before Whitey Ford has to come on in relief.

Young's debut went like this: walk, single, single, double, single, single, triple, ground out (but the guy on third scored) and another single before he hit the showers for the night.

Since it's the end of the season in 2 games Young will finish the year with a nice 216.00 era.

Oh, and the loss officially eliminated us from a wild card berth and Carlton got hammered 7-1 the next day.

Now that takes real talent. Conglaturation, Cy Young!

Grabbed a copy of OOTP 20 on Steam (have been playing on Origin Premium for my first three teams), so I will be creating a 4th team to go into the pool on Monday, with the hope that a week's worth of games will give enough points to make it Our League eligible. It'll be a 1980's theme team.

I think Palolo had a chance to win the Our League Silver title before a monumental collapse at the end. Sigh.

Should be some achievement points awarded for that, don’t you think. I would expect it is pretty rare.
