In the standard MLB setup, the player generation nationality settings are currently set at 1% random and 0% for every nation, which I think means that they'd be treated as 100% random.

I don't recall what the settings usually are in the default game but they seem to have been deleted this year and result in strange international free agent pools if left at the out of the box settings.

We can't recreate this. Things look perfectly fine here. How exactly did you create the league where you're seeing this?

Not sure if this is a roster issue or some other sort of bug, but in 2022 Seiya Suzuki is not being counted as a rookie despite "allow foreigners" being checked off for the RotY award.

Yeah, that's because he has his service time from Japan still. The problem is, if we remove it, then he wouldn't actually become a free agent at the end of the contact like he should. So one way or another something will not be right. To me, I'd rather he have the correct FA status than the correct rookie status, since we have to choose one or the other. You can always just delete his service time though if you prefer to give him the correct rookie stats, and that should 'fix' his rookie status.

Gotcha, I agree with that given the options. I manually choose awards so I picked him anyway.

Hi Lukas, sorry I missed this. Also, it pertains to the "international established free agents" generation, sorry for not specifying. I clicked on "standard game" from the main screen and checked all the league boxes and so on. Here's a screenshot from my latest game; I've made cosmetic changes but haven't touched the "Players" screen yet so this is pristine:



Then clicking the "edit" button for Int. Est. FA Origin brings up this menu:



No default percentages are set for any of the nations. IIRC this game was created in v.61 but if there's a way to check and it matters let me know and I'll figure it out.

Borden already got moved to Georgia Tech last week. We'll concentrate quite a bit on updating ratings and adding players/adjusting schools etc for the draft in the next few month or two, so you should see a lot of changes here coming up with each patch.

Yes, and yes And we'll keep having significant draft pools changes probably in most every patch between now until after the draft.

Tomas Nido is Puerto Rican and was born in Puerto Rico.

Luis Guillorme was born in Venezuela.

I don't get how these errors crept in, I don't recall this kind of stuff being so far off before. It is a pain for international play.

Luis Guillorme? He's Venezuelan-born, which is updated and should be in a future update. He's been listed for Spain as a second nation since as far back as at least OOTPXX.

Unsure if this is the right place but I’m finding numbers to still be wildly off for some teams. My Guardians for example have the wrong numbers for Myles Straw (he’s listed as 3 when he’s 7), Steven Kwan, Triston McKenzie, and a bunch more. Around the league I’ve found a lot of newer players with similar issues (Nick Lodolo, Julio Rodriguez, a few others).

Could this get a look? Thank you for your hard work!

Yeah, we're not necessarily super into keeping the uni numbers fully up to date (there's so much other stuff to do!) but I can make a little time to go through MLB at least and try to get these a little more up to date

Most were released between opening day and now. The most recent player released was a few weeks ago. Kyle Skeels, however, was released last year or the year before
