I would like to see a system that lets us play the coach system for ML only. It's to much micro management for the minors for my taste. If this is an option already and I have missed it please let me know.

I would like to be able to get my assistant GM's opinion on any transaction. Such as Free Agent signings, extensions, etc. And give 'better' reasons. Why they wouldn't make a trade. Also, have them bring me trade ideas.
Similarly on the transaction screen is the option to have the AI set up a complete organization or minor league system, shouldn't that be Assistant GM? In-game when set at DP depth, the infielder should make a double play a priority. Too many times I've had my infield at DP depth one-hopper to my 2B slow batter and they only get the first out.

When a player goes to the IL and is not replaced in the lineup, when they return, they go back to that lineup spot. IE my #4 RF hitter is on the 10 day IL, I leave the spot blank, deciding each game who will play there. When he returns to the active roster he is now my #4 hitter and RF.

Most of the time this is due to the AI having the runner in motion. IE with the runner on first in motion he is close to second and takes out the SS\2bman with his slide. This is also when you'll get the "it looks like Joe-SS or Joe-2bman may have been hurt. The trainer comes out and the injury is not serious and he can remain in the game" pbp or words to that effect. Also on this play you will see the middle IF not have a play at 2b so will take what he can get IE the out at 1b.

Not certain if this is the answer, however you can let the A.I. handle all minor league issues. This is what I do. Then at the start of every week I do it again. To me it moves the better players up in the organization.

There should be a pop-up box or something similar that lists all the players and amounts that make up the "Misc. Player Expenses" line item in the Team Accounting screen.

My bench coach uses my fragile RP on consecutive days and I would prefer he didn't. I would like an option in the players game settings that says - don't use for more than ____ consecutive days. Maybe 2 would be the default and I could make it 1 for my fragile players.

Give a setting in the scheduler to let us schedule a global starting time for all games... I play all afternoon games... sorry, I just like daytime games... baseball should be played in the sunshine...wish I didn't have to manually change the starting times.... luckily, I play a short schedule in a small league with no minors... I play out all the games... don't sim.
In my big league, I sim most of the games so it doesn't matter, but in the playoffs I manually change the times so I can play in the daytime. Still it would be nice to have a global time setting in the scheduler. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-20-2021 at 10:01 PM. |

I'm going to add my normal plea for something with managers and coaches playing historical.
When one start a season historical you can get the managers for the MLB teams for that year, but all the rest and unsigned managers are all fictional. The managers that pop up got correct stats win-loss and the years they managed up to your starting year. So could it be possible to import managers in the coming year with such stats. I understand these manager popping up is solely for one season saves, but would love to get managers avalible in the coming years when you play a history-save. I know I can create the missing manager but I can't make them anything but "rookies", so maybe more editor ways on coaches might help if import isn't possible. Hate to see Bobby Cox be included by me in 1991 as a untested managers since he had some years off the bench 1986-90. If I started in that period 86-90 Bobby Cox will not be included. You get what I'm aiming for I hope. |

I would like to see umpires have their personalities listed similar to what coaches have. Do they call a tight strike zone, pitcher friendly or hitter friendly. Do they have any type of history with certain teams/players. That sort of thing.

I am once again asking to make the Higher Seed Advantage you implemented for the KBO's first round available for all rounds so I can apply it to the second round of ***'s postseason.

We use universal robo umps. They don't have personalities.

Saw this on Reddit and figured I'd mention here - HOF voting needs to be fixed, especially for catchers.
I simmed a fictional league for 200 years and only one catcher, who won MVP and set the single season OPS record, ever made the HOF. This is obviously absurd. Plenty of worthwhile players also never get in when I do a standard save (have see Ichiro fall off the ballot for example). |

May be a way to do this already, but access to your players spring stats after the season has started in the lineups/pitching tabs. It would be beneficial to have them on opening day...

Another idea, and I don’t know how you’d quantify this numerically, is account for the Keltner Test, which are a series of questions Bill James asks to try and figure out if a player is worthy of the Hall. The third or fourth question down is “was this player the best player at their position in their era?”. Answering that question as a “yes” really should boost a few catchers’ cases. I guess at that point they might well be the worst players in the HOF, but that’s kind of as it ought to be as well; the actual Hall has a bunch of guys who got in because poetry was written about them or they put up gaudy numbers in the 20s and 30s or they were teammates of Frankie Frisch, and the game has no way to account for 2 of those 3 factors. I think if you factor that in, the actual worst players are guys like Roy Campanella and Ray Schalk. Even a guy like Johnny Bench, I don’t know that he gets in if he’s not a catcher (which, of course he should be in). I think if you spread out or diminish the ASG nods and MVP awards to even guys like Gary Carter or Yogi Berra, they look like worse HOF cases than Dewey Evans or Norm Cash. I know this will come off as anti stat or something but it’s the hall of *fame*. “The best player at their position in their era” is 100% a qualification for the Hall, even if that player wore the tools of ignorance.

Seems like All Star voting is way to early. Make the default for voting the same as MLB.
I wouldn't mind seeing a baserunner getting throw out at 2nd. as he attempts to stretch a single into a double. Still love this game ! Happy Hollidays from Bob in Buffalo. |
